How to create Google documents on SKIES

If you usually use Google documents for your lessons, here's how you can create one on SKIES. You don't need to switch to your Google account to do it!

1. Go to your SKIES lesson and click the +Make new card button.
2. Click Google Doc.
3. Click on what you want to create, e.g. Doc, Sheet or Slide. There's also an option to import from Google drive.
   • By default, it will be a View Only document from the students' view, but you can make it collaborative (e.g. if you're doing a group activity) by clicking the Students can edit button. You have to do this before step 3 but if you forget to do it, you can simply edit the card later on. 
4. It will open another tab where you can add the information that you want to add in the document. 
5. Go back to the SKIES page to view the document.
6. If you want to allow your students to respond, you can click the Responses button and enable the type of media that you want to allow for them.
