Adding a Video to a SKIES Card

There are 3 different ways to add a video to a SKIES card.

You can:

• add a video link from any website or source (e.g. YouTube, Loom)
• search YouTube video directly from SKIES
• import a video from your computer

Below are the steps for each way to add a video:

• Adding a Video Link:
  • Go to the lesson you want to put the video on.
  • Click the +Make New Card button to add a new card.
  • Click Enter Text on the dropdown menu.
  • Paste thevideo linkfrom an external source like YouTube.
  • Click Save Card.
  • If you want to add instructions, save the card with the link FIRST. Then click the pencil on the bottom right-hand corner to edit and add instructions or details about the video.

• Using Video Search:
  • • Click the +Make New Card button to add a new card.
    • Select Video Search.
    • Type the title of the YouTube video you want to search for or words relevant to the video.
    • On the search result window, select the video.
    • Click Save Card.

• Importing a Video from your Computer:
  • You can either click the "Import File" button below the lesson title; or
  • Click the +Make New Card to add a new card.
  • Go down to Import File at the bottom of the menu
  • Select Video and your computer library will pop up.
  • Select which video you want to add and click Save Card; or
  • Drag in the file from your device to SKIES.
  • NOTE: make sure the video is in MP4 format.

NOTE: YouTube videos can play inside the card without redirecting to YouTube website itself.
