How to Add Core Content Materials to your SKIES Lesson

It's easy to use Core Content materials with SKIES! You can add both Listening and Learning content, as well as Skills worksheets.

Here's how:

1. Click + Make new card.
2. In the dropdown, select Core content. Alternatively, you can also click the Core Content button below your lesson title.
3. Select from any of the available Learning Materials: Engage New York Math(PK-5), Core Knowledge LA(PK-5), CK Science(K-5), PhET Simulations, Stanford World History(6-12), Stanford US History(6-12).

Example:

• • You may select Core Knowledge.
  • Let’s say you are teaching 3rd grade, you may select Grade 3 Listening and Writing. Then you can choose a lesson, and it will automatically add available materials from the knowledge base to your SKIES lesson.
  • If you want to assess your students’ understanding of the topic, select Grade 3 Skills, then select the corresponding assessment for the lesson you previously selected. It will automatically add cards to your lesson.
