Want to highlight a great student response or annotation for the class? You can easily use a student’s work as a Key Card in SKIES. Here’s how to do it in just a few steps:
-
Temporarily Enable “Text Response”
First, make sure the Text Response option is enabled in your teacher control panel. This allows you to paste the student work later. -
Copy the Student Work or Image
-
Locate the student’s response you want to use as key.
-
Right-click directly on the image or annotation and select Copy Image.
-
If “Copy Image” isn’t available on your device, take a screenshot:
-
Mac: Press
Command + Shift + 4
-
Windows: Press
Windows + Shift + S
-
-
-
Create the Key Card
-
Click the Key icon at the top of the card.
-
Choose Enter Text.
-
Paste the image or screenshot of the student’s work.
-
-
Set Visibility
-
You can choose to make the key card visible to students or keep it hidden, depending on your lesson plan. Just click the toggle button on the upper left of the card.
-
-
Don’t Forget to Disable “Text Response”
Once you’ve created your Key Card, remember to turn off the Text Response option again, so students can’t make unintended changes.
