You may now use both your iPad and Macbook in presenting your SKIES lessons in Zoom. To do that, please follow these steps:
- Plug your iPad into your Macbook using a charger cable.
- You will open up Quicktime player on your Macbook. You can click the magnifying glass on the upper right of your screen, next to the date and time, and search Quicktime Player. Double click on Quicktime player.
- When Quicktime is opened, go to the upper left and click on "File" and choose "New movie recording." When a new movie recording opens, it should show your iPad screen on your computer. If it doesn't, to the bottom of the Quicktime screen there is a small record button (a red circle inside a gray circle).
- To the right of the record button is a small arrow down button. Click it and in the camera section switch the option to iPad. This will switch the view to your iPad screen.
- You can share your screen on Zoom (choose to share desktop) and use the Quicktime Player to project your SKIES lesson while keeping the students' Zoom video screens on your laptop. This will allow you to have both your students' faces and your SKIES lesson open at the same time.
