How to Make a Cloze Choice Quiz

SKIES lets you save time by allowing you to easily create quizzes in a few easy steps!  On SKIES, you may create a multiple choice, cloze, matching, flash card, and quick response quiz.

To create a cloze choice quiz:

1. Click "+Make new card".
2. In the dropdown, select Make Quiz Card, then click Cloze Choice.
3. Create a sentence or paragraph and enclose your answer choice in a parentheses “()”. The answers should be separated by a slash.
   • Example: Summer is the (hottest/coldest) season and has the (shortest/longest) days.
4. Once you’re done with your sentence, an option for you to click the correct choice will appear. Make sure to click the correct answer. 
5. "Only one try" and "Reveal correct answer" checkboxes are checked by default which enable your students to answer only once and show them the correct answer respectively. Unchecked "Only one try", if you want them to be able to reset their answer. 
6. Click Save Card.

When students respond, SKIES will automatically recognize who submitted the correct answer, hence, they will also be graded automatically.
