Giving students personal, actionable feedback in SKIES as soon as possible to when the student is doing the work is one of the most powerful drivers of student improvement and achievement. Below are the steps on how to add feedback to your students' responses:
- You can add feedback individually by clicking the "+" button at the bottom of your students' response cards.
- Select "Enter Text", type in your feedback then click Save Card.
Note: If you do it manually, you can add other types of feedback: annotate a copy of their card, record your voice or video, draw a picture, etc.
If you want to save time, you can also add feedback through the Mass Grader.
- Click "Grades" at the bottom of the card.
- On the next page, you will see a section for all the Prompt Cards and for all students' responses.
- Below each students' response cards you will see a "Teacher Feedback" box where you can type in your feedback.
- When you click Save, you will notice "Paste" will show up on the bottom of each feedback box.
- You can click Paste to save time in giving feedback to your students.
If you use the Mass Grader, you can also use the Annotate or Voice link shortcut -- we added those particular two shortcuts because teachers told us that these were their most popular and useful forms of feedback.
