Allowing Permission for Camera/Microphone in Chromebook

It is important to allow permission for camera and microphone in your Chromebook to make sure that SKIES run smoothly and you can use all the features of SKIES (recording audio and video).

To do that, just follow these steps:

• Click launcher (circle button on the bottom left of the screen). Type in "camera". If the camera turns on and you can see yourself in the video, then it works. Sometimes the Chromebook's camera may be broken.
• Type in skieslearn.com in a browser tab. Go to the left of where you type in skieslearn.com and click on the lock button. Make sure both camera and microphone are on "Allow."
• Click the three vertical dots button on the upper right of the screen. Go down to "Help" at the bottom of the screen then select "About Google Chrome." If there's an update, click to update the Chrome browser. This may make it so your students' Chromebook camera does not turn on.
